Family STEAM night at school

Family STEAM night at school

We were invited by an Ottawa public school council to spend the evening at a STEAM (science technology engineering arts math) night to talk to students and their parents about vermicomposting and Worm School, our composting education program. We set up a table with worms for children to interact with and handed out postcards to parents to learn more about our program.

The council used this as an opportunity to inform parents about our program and fundraise to bring it to their school. We helped out by offering parents a coupon code to use where a percentage of any sale would be donated to the school's fundraiser. This was a win-win situation where we were able to talk to hundreds of parents and children, and the school was able to offer a unique experience to the community.
