Spring break at Ottawa Public Library
Share
The Box Of Life was invited to multiple locations of the Ottawa Public Library during spring break to host workshops on vermicomposting. They were family-friendly 90 minute sessions where our educators opened up their worm bins and allowed participants to interact with the wormies! We spoke about earthworms, their life cycle, what they eat, how they improve soil, and how they're overall superstars in the home and garden. Children were so thrilled to get their hands into the worm box and touch the wigglers. The parents too got involved in the action and learnt about how to take care of a vermicomposter in their home.
The librarians even displayed a curated list of books on earthworms and composting that the parents could borrow for their little ones to continue the learning at home. One of the librarians was kind enough to capture some images and send them to us along with a fantastic review!
"Audra is so dynamic. The children were super engaged"
